CHOICES

I find myself remembering my mother today.  The things she tried to teach me when I
was younger seemed so meaningless and "old fashioned".   After all, "times have changed", I would tell her.

Have they?  I think not.  Life has a way of repeating circumstances.  The only changes are different people, different surroundings, and a different calendar year.

Choices are the same. Do what the "world" or "everyone else" does, or do what God's Word tells us to do. At the end of life that is what each of us will have to give an account to God for. HIS way or our way.

Do we follow the straight and narrow path that leads to LIFE or the wide path we choose to live for our own wants and pleasures?

So many of my choices that led to emotional pain could have been avoided if I had listened to my mother (and dad).  You see, they had been there too, choices they made or had seen others make.

I thank God for giving me to parents that loved Him and raised me to go to church and serve God. Not just attend church but be involved in church. Thank you Father God for both my parents. Take good care of them for me.
